Founded in 1955 by John Brackenreg, Artarmon Galleries has grown to become one of Australia’s leading venues for contemporary art. Located in the heart of Artarmon, we have been a cultural hub for over six decades, dedicated to showcasing a diverse array of Australian talent.

Our Mission

At Artarmon Galleries, our mission is to promote and nurture Australian art by providing a platform for artists to exhibit their work and engage with the community. We strive to create a welcoming environment where art enthusiasts and collectors can experience a varied and dynamic range of artworks.

Our Exhibitions

Each year, Artarmon Galleries hosts up to six major solo exhibitions, as well as numerous mixed exhibitions. These events highlight the works of both established and emerging Australian artists, showcasing a rich selection of oils, acrylics, watercolors, drawings, and sculptures. Our rotating exhibitions ensure that there is always something new and exciting for visitors to discover.

Our Artists

We have had the privilege of representing many of Australia’s most esteemed artists, including William Dobell, Russell Drysdale, and Margaret Olley. Our roster continues to grow, featuring contemporary artists across a variety of mediums and styles. Each artist brings a unique perspective, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of our gallery’s offerings.

Come explore the rich world of Australian art at Artarmon Galleries. Our doors are open from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. Each visit offers a new perspective and a fresh appreciation for the talent thriving in Australia.
